Does anyone know if it’s possible for a baby to be allergic to one formula but not another? He’s 5 weeks old. I changed baby to kendamil from aptamil and he’s come up in a rash on his arms and belly… I’ve used good old google and it looks like an allergy rash.. we’ve also used bubbles b gone today for wind etc… but I don’t know if it’s that. He’s had baby acne on his face for a week or so but no other rash from aptamil so I’m trying to figure out what caused it 🙈. I only changed it because he’s often struggling to poop and doesn’t sleep more than 2 hours, and I’d heard babies on kendamil settle better. Thanks again in advance ✌🏼❤️

Baby acne is normal, DD1 had it. She also took baby formula but at the time the doctor didn't associate it with formula at all. He just said some babies get it.

If you're worried you can get it checked

Thanks for your response, I know baby acne isn’t related to formula, I was just saying he’s had it.. the rash on the arms and belly is almost definitely an allergy though.. so I’m wondering if it the kendamil that’s caused it x

I'm sure it's possible as all the formulas would be slightly different, have you compared ingredients?

Could it be heat rash? DS has a peanut allergy and sometimes he gets a heat rash that looks like hives.

I have actually wondered this evening if it’s heat rash. My brain is constantly in overdrive worrying about this little one

Hi, he’s 3 this year and sadly didn’t find out.. I know we did change back to aptimil formula and he was mostly fine on that.

Hi thankyou for your reply, ahhh I see so changed from kendamil to aptamil and rash had gone maybe it's the kendamil that's what I'm thinking causing the rash my doctor seems to think could be due to the whole milk fats. Was your son on kendamil for long? X

He was on it until he went onto cows milk at around 17 months old. It’s hard work figuring out what’s going on with babies isn’t it x
