4yo has this on side of torso. Been using anti fungal cream for a week and no better - in fact it's bigger. Any ideas before I call GP please?

What is this?!

I think it looks like ringworm, although if you've been using anti-fungal cream you'd think that would sort it out?
Maybe a trip to the pharmacist before the Dr? They're usually great at things like this and much quicker than getting in front of a Dr!

It does look like ringworm maybe a different anti fungal would sort it?

If not, it wouldn't be a tick bite would it? Has he been rolling around on the grass anywhere?

MarthanotMarfa · 08/08/2022 19:15

Ringworm as said if you can rule out a tic bite? I would go to the GP if you can. Keep an eye on the bullseye nature of it and draw a ring around it now then you can tell if it spreads. Check also on the scalp for similar patches.

Have a look at pityriasis rosea.

SushiSuave · 08/08/2022 19:24

Looks a bit like the patches of eczema my son gets, is it rough and dry?

wordlewordle · 08/08/2022 20:48

Thanks all!

Yup it's quite rough and dry. Definitely not a tick, it really looked like ringworm before and since antifungal cream it's become more one colour.

Good suggestion on pharmacist, will swing by them tomorrow. Thank you!
