Suncream on chicken pox?

Hello,

Little one has just started with chicken pox and it isn't bothering her at the moment. Snow sunny tomorrow, she wants to go in the paddling pool.

Does anyone know if you can put suncream on whilst at the pre/mid blistering stage of chicken pox? Don't want to irritate them but, couldn't find anything on Google.

Thanks in advance!

I would avoid tbh. The sun will cause scarring to be worse, even with sun cream -which I imagine would really irritate the spots.

It's wise to avoid the sun during a chickenpox infection and also soon after because the skin is more susceptible to being burned. And sun exposure may increase the risk of scarring. Heat and sweating (often caused by spending too much time in the sun) will make the pox itch more
