17mo rash and raised temp

My daughter has been off since yesterday and felt warm yesterday afternoon when I was at my mums so I gave her some calpol (I couldn't take her temperature because I didn't have it with me). She fell asleep in the car on the way home (not like her) and was just generally wanting to be held more yesterday. Then last night she did seem hot in the night, we co-sleep but my room was 23 degree so I thought it was just generally warm.

Her dad is taking care of her today and she has now developed a rash on her bum, the backs of her thighs and her tummy. He's taken her temperature and it is raised at 37.7c which isn't normal for her, her normal temperature is usually 36.4. The rash is like red spots.

She seems ok in herself just a bit off. What do you think it could be?

She doesn't go to childcare or nursery, but I did take her to soft play on Monday

Bump?

Temp has gone but rash has got worse on bum. Started on the bum and has spread to backs of the legs and arms. It's like red dots, not itchy though.

She is eating fine and seems ok, a bit on edge like she'll cry easily. Sleep hasn't been great.

Just not sure whether I should call the GP or not? Don't want to waste their time but also don't want to make a mistake?
