Gastroenteritis- severe and mild symptoms !

Hi everyone , a little advice if possible please .
so…. My 9 year old and 3 year old were hospitalised this week with severe gastroenteritis- a lot of vomiting and diahhrea! It was hideous.
my 2 year old then started with it and he’s fine after 2 episodes of vomiting and 2 episodes of diahhrea …. Is it unusual for the severity to be so different ??

How long in hospital

presumably you have the number for the ward (we got when left). Ring them?

As for difference

yes very normal. One person get something badly, another won’t touch the surface.

covid a perfectly example!

I have rang them but they can’t give advice over the phone which is annoying .
i just can’t believe the youngest has got off the lightest - doesn’t make sense…. I expected a 2 day hospital stay like I did with his brothers . Xx
