Strange spot on finger??

So DS has a strange spot on his little finger, it started off as a tiny little thing barely noticeable but has been growing bigger over the last 4-5 months... hes only 8 months so he's had it half his life so far! It doesnt bother him but I gave it a squeeze the other day and it looks strange now. Cant find anything online about what it could be. It's only the one spot, he has no others, unsure whether to contact doctor as it looks minor and doesn't bother him. Any help appreciated.

Oh, how strange I just posted to ask the same thing about my baby. She has a spot on her hand which looks identical. She's 10 months and has had it for a few months already. It has been getting bigger. I have really had to refrain myself from popping it, its so tempting!

It also doesn't seem to bother her at all.

I gave into temptation to pop it when it looked like he had caught it as some chalky stuff was already coming out of it. Although when I squeezed it, there wasn't a spurt of gunk, just some more chalky stuff with a bit of more wet stuff but didn't look like pus really. Just really random, adults don't even get spots like that on their hands and have never seen it on any other child and no parents I know have encountered it, glad I'm not the only one though!!
