9 year old sniffing constantly!

We’ve been to see an ENT consultant (as she also mentioned a muffled ear) but she’s fine. Nothing physically wrong. But she sniffs CONSTANTLY. I believe she can control it because she doesn’t do it if she’s playing or engaged in something but at times like now, when we’re sitting on the couch watching a
movie it’s literally every 3 seconds.

she says she can’t breath through her mouth, that it makes her nose more blocked.

tried Sudafed but it almost made her throw up (it does taste disgusting).

does anyone have ANY idea, I’ll try anything! I’m losing my mind!

Sounds like a tic. I know they can be very irritating but best to try and ignore it as much as possible.

Agree this sounds like a tic. My (adult, obviously) DP does exactly the same thing, especially when stressed.

Likely just a tic. I had them when suffering from undiagnosed hypothyroidism, but often just a thing to grow out of
