Croup in summer?

DD has croup and the doctor said there have been an unusually high number of cases lately even though it's the summer.

Any advice or anyone else experiencing the same?

Keep reading that it's good to take them out into the cold air but obviously that's not possible right now!

Should also say they haven't given steroids yet as they said it's viral but we've to go back if it gets any worse. Hoping she'll feel better soon.

Yes, my 3yo has had recurrent croup over the last year, including 2 weeks ago. I was surprised he had it in the Summer but we did have some Covid symptoms as a family so maybe there's a link with Covid?

That's interesting as I wondered if it was maybe Covid related. We think DH might have had Covid recently so I wonder if DD did as well and it's now turned into croup.
