DS10 had chicken pox years ago and has come out with these spots a week ago now. They are getting worse/spreading rather than better. We have cats and I'm quite sure these are not flea bites, I know what they look and feel like. DH and I don't have anything at all.

Probably molluscum contagiosum.

alnawire · 21/07/2022 22:10

They could be chicken pox

jessieminto · 21/07/2022 22:18

Thanks, I'll take a look at molluscum contagiosum.

I didn't think it could be chicken pox if he's had it before?

Yea, it could be.

You can get chicken pox again, particularly if first time round was mild.
I had chickenpox twice and shingles.
There are quite a few things which can cause spots to appear, so might be worth talking to a pharmacist, especially if it's itchy.

On a 10yr old boy, could they be the start of teenage type spots? My 10yr old is starting with a few spots.
