It says it all in the thread title really. DSS 4 has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. The prognosis is relatively good, 98% remission rate and his white blood cell count is excellent, but still 😥He's so little!

Thank you guys - Wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation re: keeping the child happy and entertained during inpatient stays, managing chemo, etc? Currently he's having a whale of a time getting all his favourite food and performing the Wellerman for the ward, but thinking foward.

I'm sorry to hear this but the outlook is very good. My daughter was diagnosed at 4 with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. She sailed through treatment and is now 15 and a half with no long term effects. She was treated at the RVI in Newcastle and her main memories are enjoying attending clinics and missing school. She had 4 admissions in total and was able to live a relatively normal life going to school, rainbows, swimming etc throughout treatment.
