Asthma triggered by heat?

Hi

I'm new to asthma, as my husband and I don't suffer from it, our 3 year old has been prescribed blue and brown inhalers after many many trips to the GP and an assessment so please forgive my naivety.

She seems to be developing a wheeze and cough over yesterday and last night I was wondering if this could be linked to the temperature at the minute? Has anyone else seen a link to the heat?

My asthma is very weather dependant, changing from one environment to another can cause problems, like heated house to freezing outside.

The super dry hot air we have had recently left me feeling short of breath and caused a cough in my 4 year old with asthma too. So yes, in my personal experience it is a trigger for problems.
