My dd5 does suffer with eczema but it’s never been this bad. Now my ds2 has come out in a couple of similar circular marks so now I’m wondering if it is eczema or ringworm? Please help!

Eczema - it does present differently at different times.

ring worm looks really different

QuestionableMouse · 17/07/2022 20:42

Not ringworm. Looks like nettle rash almost?

ElizabethinherGermanGarden · 17/07/2022 20:48

That's a sweat rash - definitely eczema but heat triggered.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 17/07/2022 20:51

Eczema, DDs is like that at the moment, flared due to the heat and hayfever.

She's currently having daily antihistamines, baths with no products, zerobase or cetraban thick cream in the tub slathered thickly before bed and long legged cotton pjs to stop her scratching her skin off. Barrier cream on the sore bits before sun cream in the morning and full length leggings to offer some protection against grass seeds and pollen.

Was going to suggest this, my son had it recently and after trying everything for two weeks the pharmacist said to see a GP. She identified it straight away. The patches looked like eczema but it was much more extensive covering him all over.

Lemoncurd · 17/07/2022 21:42

Although Pityriorsis Rosacea isn't contagious (just seen that you mentioned two children with these spots).

Trying to figure out if this is ringworm or excema. I have a history of excema but my brother currently has ringworm. Opinions appreciated!
