3yo still dribbling

Hi everyone my 3 & a half year old DS still dribbles like a baby 😫 he's got all his teeth so definitely not teething related.

I've tried to explain to him that he's supposed to hold it in and swallow it but it's just not happening. I almost feel embarrassed. I went for a play date with our NCT friends and he was the only one dribbling whilst playing and talking and his tshirt was all wet. He also seems to scratch his tongue a lot and have it out quite abit.

Is this normal? Surely not .. as I'm not seeing any children his age do the same ..

He also doesn't have a dummy as I've read it could be related to that. He's not had one for 2 years and 1 year ago we took it off him at night too.

My DS was exactly the same. We just kept reminding him to wipe his chin. He's 4.5 now and it's much better, he is now dry on his chin the majority of the time, but we were concerned that he seemed to dribble a lot longer than his peers. Anyway, this message is supposed to be reassuring - you are not alone, and in our case it has improved!
