Bronchitis in babies question

My friend has a 6 month old and they were taken to hospital on Thursday night as he was wheezing, at the hospital they said they think it's bronchitis. Myself and my 8 month old are meant to be meeting up with them and another friend Thursday, which would be day 10 by her calculations. I'm thinking of sitting this one out but just wanted others opinions, not sure if I'm being too anxious about this? I would be getting a lift with them too so my baby would be right next to her baby in the car.

I'd sit it out! My 3 month old just had bronchiolitis (under 2's get this rather than bronchitis) and seeing him on oxygen with a feeding tube for four days wasn't pleasant. If it's not essential I would postpone to next week.

Sit it well out until that baby is totally well. Bronchiolitis is babies can be mild but buy it can be very serious, so avoid. I’ve looked after some very poorly babies with bronchiolitis.
