Help! My 2 years old accidentally ate part of the Frubes yogurt packaging box. Do I need to worry about toxic ink on it?

I think he would need to eat a hell of a lot for it to be a problem.

How much did he eat?

Quackpot · 14/07/2022 23:27

I doubt it will cause any harm if it's just a little bit

This is the sort of thing I’d get anxious about but I’m sure he’ll be fine. I read a thread on here once of all the ridiculous things people’s toddlers had eaten and it was quite reassuring

My younger DDs first solids was DHs paperwork. She was completely fine... (having to ask for people to redo forms because the baby ate them was a bit embarrassing though)

When my ds was around 2 he had one of those little boxes of raisins and was obviously still peckish when he had finished them as he then ate the box 🤷‍♀️

Thank you all for your quick responses! The thing is I can't be sure how much has been eaten... It's a complex story - the box of yogurt was stored in the fridge for a while and I poured the last yogurt tube out on the table coz I was in a rush. So he helped himself to the yogurt. Only after he finished it I found that there are quite a lot of purple powders/small pieces on the table and some outside the yogurt tube. It seems that the box got wet in the fridge and the surface of the coloured box somehow broke into small pieces.... I'm sure that he would have definitely grabbed these powders in his hands but not sure how much could have been accidentally eaten... Sorry about all these details but I'm just a bit anxious coz I've read something about toxicity in the coloured ink

And when my other ds was about 5 I gave him an ice cream cone wrapped in a paper napkin and he just ate his way through the whole lot. I think the napkin had got soaked in ice cream drips so tasted pretty similar to the cone.
