Feeling conflicted about whether this is chickenpox!?

Never thought I’d be the one to ask the internet for help but first time mum here feeling very overwhelmed!
my little one has had spots for over a month now, started off as a few under his armpit but these last 48 hours they’ve started to spread. Spoke to a doctor a few weeks ago and he said it’s unlikely to be chickenpox due to presenting no fever & having the spots for so long, but now he’s got more I’m wondering if it is?! I’ve not seen any pictures of how spots start so just wondering if there’s any mums who have experienced chickenpox can let me know if the spots started similar to this?! x

One of the key signs of chicken pox is that dozens to tens of spots crop up literally overnight and progress to scabbed over in days. It's not chicken pox but should be looked at.

Chicken pox lasts about a week not a month.
Were they fluid filled blisters?

Now I think about it my dd had what your DC has. Lasted months then eventually faded. Google Molluscum contagiosum.

Molluscum looks more like skin tags than spots

No, some of them look like pimple type spots & then others are just flat & from what I’ve understood & read of chickenpox, they should have blistered by now?

Yes that’s what I thought in regards to how long he’s had it, he hasn’t woken up with anymore than he went to bed with last night. Will ring the GP again now I think. Thank you.
