Hi, hoping a doctor reads this as I'm a little worried. My DS 16 months started crying when I was giving him nurofen and he breathed in I think he's inhaled a bit of the nurofen as he started gagging and coughed right away.
It can't have been a lot as I only squirt in about 1ml each time I squirt the syringe.

I'm stressing that it's gone into his lung and I've just been reading up on aspiration. 😩

Is he going to be ok?

I would be pretty confident he won't have taken enough in to worry about but call 111 if you want to check.

Sounds like his gag reflex did exactly what it was meant to, and kicked in to protect his airway.
