PH study on a toddler

Hello wise mumsnetters, I'm hoping to hear from anyone who has experience of a PH study. My just turned 3yr old has had reflux issues since he turned 1 and has so far had a barium swallow test (which didn't show any issues) and then yesterday had an upper GI endoscopy which showed his stomach was very inflamed. We're waiting for the results of the biopsy but the surgeon mentioned that they might want to do a PH study. He didn't give me any other information about it though so of course I went and googled it. I can't see how a toddler would tolerate having a tube up his nose and down his throat for a minimum 24 hrs, he's already traumatised from all his Drs visits as for the 1st year his reflux was undiagnosed and resulted in a million ENT infections and it was peak covid so had to have a covid test everytime. Has anyone ever gone through this?

Hi,
Did your little one end up having the study? Mine is due to go in next week for this.
