Grommets fallen out

Hi,
My DD had grommets filled about a month ago. DH noticed one in her ear today.
Has this happened to anyone else before. Does anybody know what will happen now?
Thanks

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Get in touch with ENT. They should usually be in at least 6 months before the eardrum starts pushing them out.

It may need to be reinserted.

@Pinkflipflop85
Oh yes I'll phone first thing on Monday just wanted to see if anyone had experienced anything similar

Ds is on his third set of grommets but we've never had one drop out so early.

So frustrating especially when we had to wait so long for them to be fitted in the first place

There's no guarantee on how long they last. I know someone whose dc woke up the next morning with one on the pillow.

Ds' lasted 13 months, 6 months and 27 months. (for the second one to come out) Same surgeon each time.

I'd ask for an appointment with ent, but it may well be a couple of months. I suspect if she's still got one in then they won't be too worried.

They do drop out, so don’t worry. But I would be ringing on Monday about it.

Thanks
We have a follow up appointment at the end of August I'll see if they can bring it forward.
Going to get the GP to check the other is in too!!
