Large Tonsils in 5 year old - experiences please

My 5 year old daughter since March (when she had covid coincidentally!) has had mild tonsillitis symptoms 3/4 times (approx once every 4-5 weeks). She gets fever, tummy pain, HUGE swollen tonsils and some sickness. She seems to get a fever, won’t eat for 8 hours, just wants to sleep then starts eating and slowly gets better over 48hours. Weirdly she only complains about sore throat once or twice but it looks very sore. It’s more the tummy pain that upsets her.
I haven’t needed to take her to the doctors and she’s never (touch wood!) had antibiotics.

Before the last 4 months she has only had what I think is the standard illnesses, she is a healthy child and eats/sleeps well. She does have allergies so I don’t know if they are related.

I’m worried this might be the start of recurring tonsillitis which might get worse and worse each time? Am I scaring myself for no reason?! Her tonsils are pretty big when she’s not ill but don’t seem to cause her problems. I have booked a gp appointment for them to have a look - I’m worried they’re going to say she needs them removing!

we are considering trying for another baby so think I am anxious to get pregnant if she’s going to get ill every month going forward and will find that really hard if pregnant!

Any experiences of children growing out of toddler problems etc would be very helpful. I also thought about trying a cranial osteopath?

My daughter had big tonsils and a year or two of recurring tonsillitis, we were given the option of having them removed but we waited it out and she's grown into them now, she's 9. As for the tummy pain, is it quite low down? We also have this every time she's run down or becoming ill, she was diagnosed with mesenteric adenitis, completely harmless but good to know what the problem is, we just give her paracetamol if she's complaining of stomach ache.

That’s helpful thank you. What age did she start/grow out of it and how often?

my daughter says the tummy pain is around her belly button

Does anyone else have any experience worn this?

To update, daughter is so much better and breathing on a night fine. Saw ENT Consultant today who said she has grade 3 tonsils and he will watch and wait what happens over the next 6 months to see if they need to come out.
Really hoping she grows into them and the issues stop 🤞🏻🤞🏻
