Rash (with pics)

My 9MO has a textured rash on her back. It's spread over the last couple of days and now covers most of her back. She had a heavy cold when it came up initially and I thought it was probably a viral rash but she's much better now and the rash is definitely worse.

Any thoughts on what it is and if I need to do anything about it? It doesn't seem to be bothering her, we haven't changed washing powder etc

It looks a bit bumpy from the photos. Raised rash that feels like sandpaper can be scarlet fever. My son had it but he was pretty ill with it too. High temp, cold symptoms. Rash was on his chest and back. He also had a white coating on his tongue. We went to the walk in centre and he had to have antibiotics. Absolutely no medical knowledge other than being a parent! I hope whatever it is gets better soon.
