Hayfever?

So we've got a doctor's appointment at 2:30, but just wanted to ask on here as well. Two weeks ago DD had what we thought was an allergic reaction to suncream - red itchy eyes and blotchy skin. Changed the suncream, and then it seemed that it was running in her eyes and causing her pain - same symptoms but without the blotchy skin. This morning, no suncream at all, but DD's eyes are red and painful, and she was crying about it. She then says she needs to lie down to sleep (at 8 in the morning). She kept covering her eyes with the blanket and asked me to shut the curtains. I gave her a piriton and half an hour later she said her eyes were okay, although they were still a bit red. She's perked up a bit now, although she's just asked me to shut the curtains again. Happily watching TV though! Temperature is 38.3 and she has rosy cheeks. No rash or anything elsewhere on her body. Is this hayfever? I've never had it so wouldn't know. She's 3 if that makes any difference. Thanks!
