Hi All just wanted a bit of advise my 5 year old has had severe abdominal pains, constipation and the opposite feeling sick being sick etc since she was born, it has taken us on and off 5 years to discover its either lactose or dairy allergy or intolerance as she has delayed reactions. she had a blood test a while ago that was negative for allergies, however im not convinced... when the blood test was taken dairy had not been in my daughters diet for well over 1 year and my question is would a dairy allergy come up if she hasn't eaten and any allergens? ive researched a little and it says the bloods test is used to look for a reaction with the allergen however if the allergen was not present in her blood im assuming the test needs to be repeated? i no none of you are doctors but im hoping someone with similar allergy testing can confirm if this is the case as my daughters doctor appointment is still 6 months away and it can't be brought forward thanks for any help
