Any advice. My 4yo is having eye surgery in 2 weeks. Both eyes being corrected.

Is it more common for gas to anesthetise ( sp) or needle.
The dc unsure if wants me to attend or dh yet.
We have lots of activities to take whilst waiting, new coloring, scratch art etc as a suprise.
They know they're going but doesn't understand the procedure. Just knows their eye will be better and the doctors will make them sleep.

They've said a week off pre school average.
But an nhs leaflet i downloaded said 3/4 days. Obviously id never send them unwell or sore. But that's the thing dc is most upset about missing her teacher and friends.

I Will empty sandpit as they said avoid because of getting in eyes.

How long was the procedure? They didn't mention.
All they said was home the same day. Its a pm appointment
