DD bumped her head on concrete

Hi all, today we were getting the paddling pool ready when DD who is 3 slipped on our wet concrete patio.. it was so fast and it made such a loud bang. She immediately started screaming and could feel a massive bump that is red.

I took her to a&e where she was seen by a nurse .. who sent us home within 30 seconds and said because she was not unconscious it's not worrying.

Is that right? I keep reading online horror stories.
Could there be a brain bleeding going on without realising? I'm just panicking so much and feel like the worst mum 😭 I keep playing in my head the noise the impact made

Aww poor child. If they checked and sent you back then surely she must be okay. How is she? Does she seem her usual self but obviously hurt? If you see anything in her behaviour tomorrow then take her back to a and e. Hope she gets better soon. I know how awful it is when your kids bang their head x

Try not to worry. Crying straight away is a good thing. Just be aware of things to be concerned about - vomiting, drowsiness, severe headache.

This happened to my ds8 a few weeks ago at school , the teacher said the sound his head made on the concrete was sickening . He had a headache for 2 hours and then was fine , please try not to worry

Thank you everyone for the reassurance 😘

She seems herself today. But I kept checking on her overnight 🥲

These sort of things always scare me so much x
