Hi all,

I just wanted to hear if any other parents have experienced anything similar with their children- I have called the Drs this morning and am waiting to hear back.

My daughter is 7 and for the past around 8 weeks has been experiencing diarrhoea which comes with stomach cramps around once a week or once every 2 weeks, between this she has normal stools.

Around the same time she started Sytron iron medicine for low ferritin levels which she takes 3 times a day, yesterday I reduced this to once a day to see if it would help ease things but last night she had several episodes of diarrhoea again.

She hasn’t had any weight loss & is eating normally.

I just find it strange that if it was the iron wouldn’t it be a constant upset to her tummy & not just occasionally?
