Hey all,

my poor little DD (11 weeks old) has tested positive for covid.. me and my partner have both tested positive within the last 4/5 days. We feel terrible.

we only tested her as she was more sleepier and fussier than usual.

just wanting positive stories with anyone who has also had a newborn with covid and that they were all OK… I am so worried!!!

please send over your stories!

thanks
worried FTM

My DS caught it at 9ms, he was absolutely hysterical. No actual cough though. Temp would spike and fall to 40, but would lessen with calpol, he was shivering but dripping with sweat for 3 days. The advice last year was to give paracetamol calpol (not ibuprofen) but i would be giving your HV / 111 a call at her age to get current advice. Strip her off completely if her temp spikes as you don't want her experiencing febrile seizures. The most important thing is that she's drinking and having wet nappies.
Unfortunately DS has caught it for the second time this week from nursery (now 15ms)😥
