Hi ladies,

Need advice for my sister. Her 1 year old found the disinfectant on the table and put in her mouth and might have swallowed some. She gave her milk but my niece has vomited and is now coughing.
Does anybody have experience with this? Does it settle or are we waiting for the worst?.. we are so sick worried.

It's a difficult time for us right now, please can only people with advice comment and no criticism. Thanks

Has she sought medical advice? If not she needs to do so now!

Sirzy · 24/05/2022 21:13

Go to A and E. take the packet of whatever may have been ingested with you

Hugasauras · 24/05/2022 21:14

? She needs to go to A&E if she's had something corrosive and is now vomiting. She should have been taken there immediately. What other advice is there?!

BattenburgDonkey · 24/05/2022 21:14

Seek medical advice, phone 111 now, don’t take any reassurance from mumsnet, speak to a medical professional.

yaboreme · 24/05/2022 21:15

Ring 111 and seek proper medical advice. I wouldn't risk waiting it out.

It's scary but I'd rather speak to someone who can give me trained medical advice asap.

This isn't something for mumsnet it's immediate A&E with the bottle of whatever she's been in contact with.

User3568975431146 · 24/05/2022 21:16

Milk can make things worse with some substances so please give her no more unless instructed by doctors.

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/05/2022 21:23

A&E straight away with whatever she may have ingested.

Kitten22 · 24/05/2022 21:26

Ok, thank you guys. I'll tell her x

Agree with others. Either 999 or A and E and don’t give her anything to eat or drink.

jadey1991 · 24/05/2022 22:50

@Kitten22 take her straight to a&e.
