Eyelid twitching?

So I’m a nervous wreck I went to our pediatricians last Friday to the on call doctor because the day before I noticed my 2 month olds left side eyelid rapidly twitch (her eye is not moving when this is happening) when she’s asleep I caught in on video and showed the doctor. He said all was fine it was most likely benign as her eyes were checked and he said if it were seizures it would be happening even when she was awake. I have 2 month old checkup this Thursday with her actual pediatrician and I’m just thinking the worst. It looks like a nerve or muscle is almost firing off but zero other symptoms no jerking nor is she even bothered by it. When she wakes up I don’t ever notice it has anyone else had something similar? I’m just beside myself thinking something could be wrong with my babygirl.

What are you worried it is? Is this your 1st baby? Have you had health anxiety before?

My DSs eye twitches. Not the eyelid, but the muscle under his eye. It does it when he's tired, although he can do it on demand too. Very odd.
Hes been like that since birth and he's almost 18 now. Helpful though because I always know when he's tired Grin

I also think it is a sign of tiredness.

yes this is my first, I myself have always had health anxiety so I know I just may be overly worried . Im not sure what it could be I just fear it’s something wrong with her brain or something.

Really? It stops when she’s in deep sleep but can last as long as 10 minutes.

Look on youtube of what REM sleep looks like. They eyes normally move side to side and can look like a twitch. Is the movement like that? I'd speak to your GP/HV/paediatrician. If possible- take a video of what you are concerned about and I'm sure they will reassure you its normal. I'd also speak to them about getting some CBT for yourself.
