Chicken pox & scarring

Hi all

DD had chicken pox recently. Anyway she had 2 scabs on her face which she scratched and the scab fell off but left a little sort of dent with a little of redness around 🥴. Will it leave a scar now? Or is there a chance it'll go back to normal? 😩
We tried to be so careful and it's typical she managed to scratched the last 2 on her face.

Tried to google but can't find anything

Tia

It might.

If it helps I have a little dimple scar by my eye from chickenpox.

I love it. It's part of my face and I'm not sure many people notice it. When I was a teenager (and face gems were in fashion) I'd put one on there to make even more of a feature out of it.

I've got some scars on my tummy, legs and arm from chickenpox. None of them bother me at all. They are what makes me me

I've still got a chicken pox dent on my forehead. I quite like it Grin

I think it probably will, but then pretty much everyone has some chicken pox scars somewhere. Acne scars come later too, as well as scars and marks from injuries or operations. It's just part of being human.

Ah thanks so much both! I just don't want her to hate me later on in life for not doing a better job at stopping the scarring. She sleeps with mittens on so not sure how she did it 🥴

Both my DC have scars like this from chicken pox and neither of them scratched at all, so don't feel bad about that! The scars would probably be there regardless. The redness will fade but the dent will probably remain to some extent - my eldest had chicken pox about 4 years ago now and you can still see the odd dent but they have definitely improved over time.
