Hi all,

Can anyone help me with my baby girls naills discolouring.

My baby is 6 weeks and recently had another check with health visitor who did advise that this should clear up but if not then speak to a doctor.

Has anyone else experianced this with their children

Picture attached. :)

Has she caught her fingers in a door that you didn't know about? Though I'm sure you would hear screaming. It looks like bruises to me. If you can't recall any injury then I would get that looked at.

Just seen she's only six weeks so no change of an injury that you wouldn't be aware of then. I would get it looked at by a GP rather than HV or Nurse

Appointment booked for wednesday , hopefully nothing serious. I will repost what the outcome is. I googled it and there wasnt much to explain it. One lady posted the same on another chat and had no replys ...

Fungal infection.

Gp can prescribe creams. Will take a few weeks to clear.

The doctor suggested that it could be an infection but isnt quite sure how she could of got that being so young. Or maybe low in iron. So going to try cream for nails and iron medicine if no change as i think iron medicine could upset her stomach .. i know adult one does
