Kids fillings

My 7 year old needs 2 fillings and I was wondering how the dentists will go about it I know she will freak out if she knows that they are going to inject her as the thought of needles terrifies her I will be talking to thw dentist before hand bit was just wondering what peoples experiences were ?

If she won't go for needles I'd imagine they'll refer her to have it done in hospital under GA?

How deep rare they ? My ds has a filling without really real noticing . It was on the surface layer of the tooth , not close enough to the nerve to need an injection .
