Please can someone give any advice. My 3 year old is constantly snoring it wakes him up constantly he naps a long time suring the day because of it he snores and wakes during his nap too. It keeps me awake or loud enough to wake me up I'm resorting to noise blockers. This isn't right surely. I phone gp and never have appts, 111 are useless telling me to keep on at my gp. 3 weeks this has been going on for I think me and my boy are at our wits end

Has he been checked for enlarged adenoids? These can cause snoring, along with bad breath, sore throat and stuffy nose.

Both my boys have had their tonsils and adenoids removed due to obstructive sleep apnoea. The first sign was snoring which led to excessive tiredness. Keep pushing hard for a GP appointment.

We had this, but ours was a bit younger. My boy had to have tonsils and adenoids removed. It was worth it and he went from napping at 9am (as a 2 year old) to running around at 9am. It's been over a year now and life changing.

Push your GP for s referral to ENT. A sleep study was done and this helped us as it showed his oxygen was getting really low at night due to sleep apnea and the surgery was scheduled for about a week and a half later.

Sleep apnea?
Large Tonsils?

He needs to see a doctor asap

They are his adenoids. My son had his removed along with his tonsils aged 5. He snored so loudly our neighbours could hear him.

He's never been checked for those. I think it'll be a trip to the walk in centre tomorrow im desperate to get it sorted. I'm feeling sorry for us both

Thought I'd give an update. His tonsils were very enlarged and had pus patches. Was given 10 day antibiotics. He's finished this course and still they are enlarged and can still see pus. Have another appt tomorrow to hopefully get to the bottom of this. He's has all these symptoms for a few weeks now im so worried

This was my son. His tonsils were permanently enlarged and had enlarged adenoids. I basically rang every 2 weeks, and showed a video of my son to the GP if his snoring.

he’s getting them out in 2 weeks. Keep pushing!
