Bruises and Constant cold 21month old

Looking for some advice as to whether I'm right to be worried or whether I'm just being a neurotic mother.

I suffer from health anxiety myself so I do feel I overanalyse symptoms but my almost 2 year old little girl seems to have been repeatedly suffering with colds/coughs for months now. She's at nursery so I understand they catch a lot but this cold in particular has lasted for about weeks now (runny nose constantly, no fevers but a cough especially in the mornings).

She is a pale child anyway and very clumsy at this age but her legs are also absolutely covered in bruises, along with a random one on her arm/back and I can't help but worry that this bruising along with constant infections can be a warning sign for Leukemia?

This weekend she has been sick twice, along with diarrhoea and is complaining 'mummy my tummy hurts'. She also took herself upstairs to bed saying she's tired. So I'm guessing possibly another virus?

Should I speak to the gp and ask them to run some blood tests or am I just manifesting my anxiety on her?

Thanks for reading.

I would definitely speak to the GP as the bruising is especially concerning if they're not the usual falling over bruises a toddler gets.

Have you done a lft? I'd do that. My DS had a horrible upset tummy with it and also tiredness. However, I'd definitely get unusual bruises checked out. It's likely to be nothing but no harm in getting checked out Flowers

With hepatitis in the news I would definitely have her seen given her symptoms this weekend just for reassurance.

My DD is 21 months also and very pale but not very clumsy. She has a forehead bruise currently which is maybe her second facial bruise ever and sometimes has small bruises on her legs from crawling about at nursery. But that's pretty much it bruise wise for her. I don't know if that might just be the difference between a clumsier child and a less clumsier one though!

Just to add the cold wouldn't worry me. My DD is like that too. She had a good spell but has been coldy for 4-5 weeks again now with no sign of it shifting Sad

@findingsomeone I've just looked and read about the hepatitis and she has definitely had lighter coloured poos the last 48 hours. I will call the GP tomorrow.

Thanks

All sounds normal but get her seen to be on safe side.

How is your daughter @minimini358 ?

Took her to the GP today who said that she is confident it is just a viral infection- and that because she is at nursery she will get them all. why do they always say viral! She hasn't been sick for 24 hours which is good but still not much of an appetite. Thanks for checking on us!
