White patches on face

Hey! Does anyone know what this is?
My little boy just recently had an allergic reaction rash and has now got white patches on his face. They are sometimes very dry.
I’m concerned it could be a skin condition.

I have white patches on my face and part of my hair and eye brow is white. Mine is from vitiligo. Worth checking though as I was sent to be checked at a dermatology hospital.

Did you treat the rash with anything topical? My DS’ skin was bleached by a prescribed ringworm cream when he was small. Not saying your LO had ringworm, just that creams sometimes do odd things.

Could be eczema.

It doesn't appear the same in everyone.

Take your child to the GP so they can have a look.

You will probably be told to emollients/creams on it if it is.

What a cutie

My son's skin can do this after a bad eczema flare up. He has food allergies.

(And DS is mixed race; not sure if darker skin is more prone to something like this)

Thank you so much everyone. Took him to the gp today and we’ve been given a cream to try and they’ve referred us to a dermatologist. Will update when I know

Hi, really interested to see if the cream helped your little boy or what the dermatologist has said? My sons face looks really similar to your sons he is also mixed race. I’m currently waiting for to see a dermatologist but the app isn’t till April. Thanks

Tinea Versicolor! I still get this now and it looks exactly like this. GP can give cream to help. I use ketaconazole shampoo whenever it comes back. I have slightly darker skin than your dc.

He is soooo cute! He reminds me of my own DS at that age! I have vitiligo on my thigh - just one random patch. Did you ever get a diagnosis @Ksmumma1?

Hey everyone! His face cleared up after using the cream. They said he had an allergic reaction to something and it caused some of the pigment to slow down in his face. Thank you for all your help and advice x
