4 month old baby with reflux ( I think?)

Hi, I have a four month old baby boy who has excessive sickness. I’ve been to the doctor with him who prescribed him special milk for a cows milk allergy (nutrmigen) as he was previously on Kendamil. He’s been on this for three weeks now and I haven’t noticed a difference. The sickness doesn’t bother him, but I would say he spits up about half of each bottle gradually until it’s time for his next one. And he’s not sick at night hardly ever either. I’ve tried holding him upright for ages after feeding, keeping him still after feeding, burping him more and then less when that wasn’t working. I just don’t think this is an allergy especially as he’s not in any discomfort with it. I’ve got a phone appointment with a dietician tomorrow but unsure if they’re going to suggest anything to help, or if anyone on here has any experience with this? I know it’s not affecting him or his weight so far, but I feel I can hardly let anyone hold him or take him anywhere as he will be sick all over the place.
thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, just wondering how this all worked out for you? What you’ve written is pretty much exactly how my four month old is and she too is on Kendamil. She’s Still putting on weight and not uncomfortable when feeding/afterwards but is constantly sick no matter what I do.
I'm at a loss!

My youngest had severe reflux and ended up on neocate milk, omeprazole and ranitidine. The paediatrician told us that the medicines wouldn't stop her being sick so much but reduce her pain.
It took her till she was nearly 2 to outgrow it and she was diagnosed at 4 months.
She wore 3 bibs, she was upright after feeding but she was still sick all the time.

The special milk is also alot thinner than normal milk so could that be causing it too? Carobel could help but may make him constipated

Hi!
so basically nothing helped him, we even tried carobel with him which didn’t really make much difference. It only calmed down and eventually stopped when I got him started on solids at six months. I guess he was just a sicky baby and he’s never sick at all now at 15 months so I just had to ride it out unfortunately. Sorry if that’s not much help but it will get better and you will be able to have you baby in nice clothes at some point 🥰

Thanks so much for the reply. I have a feeling I may just have to do the same as she’s not in pain when feeding or afterwards so I really don’t think it’s an allergy. She’s a super happy baby, the sick doesn’t bother her at all, just mummy because of the amount of washing 😅. Hopefully it will stop once I start weaning her like it did for your little boy. Thanks again 😊
