Lump on babies back

Hi, our daughter is four months old and today I discovered a lump on her back, it feels like an adult vein size and texture, around 1.5 cm long on her right shoulder blade. You can a slight blueish colour under the skin too. Of course it’s a bank holiday weekend so no chance of a doctor until nest week.
has anybody else had experience of this ?
thanks .

My youngest daughter (now 11) had similar on her back that only appeared at 4 mths.
It looked like a bruise under a lump.
We were referred to a paediatrician (she also had severe reflux so he looked at this too). Hers was a strawberry birthmark that was under the skin instead of on top of it. He measured it at each of our monthly appointments. He told us it would be gone by the time she was 6 or 7. And it did disappear.
Maybe this is what your child has?

Oh that’s interesting because she has a proper strawberry mark on the top of her head.

Hi! Did you figure out what this was?

Yes we had it scanned and it’s another strawberry mark like the one on her head, but under the skin.

Hi, I know this is an old post but, I just want to know if it looks like this? I discovered it when he was 2yrs old and now just recently I noticed it again when he is in a certain posture. He's 4yrs old now. It looks like a huge greenish vein and it feels like air underneath the skin when you touch it. He also has some birth marks somewhere-else in his body but they don't have a lump like this, I wanna make sure this one is JUST a birthmark under the skin like your baby's too. I hope you can help me. Thank you@MiaParents22

The one our daughter had was kind of blueish and felt like a vein, looked similar to this and moreso when she was in a certain posture, it was just one of those strawberry birthmarks but under the skin, its long gone now she is 2. We took her to the doctor at the time and they did a quick ultrasound to rule out anything suspicious which put our minds at rest, and now its gone. I would recommend you do the same for peace of mind.

thank you so much for answering! honestly, I have taken my LO to the doctor the time I noticed this lump but his pedia only touched it and looked for it with her fingers but could not find a lump when we were there. Two years later and it's still here, I just noticed the other day as he bent down to play with water. I probably should bring this to his doctor's attention again.
