My 7 year old daughter has suffered on and off with acid reflux since she was a baby. She complains of having burning burps and pain in her chest when she eats sometimes. She was prescribed Omeprazole a couple of years ago which worked and since then she only complains if running about after eating etc so we stopped them..
We've noticed recently that she has eggy smelly breath and says it feels like something is stuck where her nose/throat meet. She occasionally breathes strange too, reminds me of a whale breathing through its blow hole 🙈
I've got a GP appointment tomorrow for some more Omeprazole, I'm going to mention her other symptoms too but does anyone have an insight what it might be? Could it all be linked? If she continually suffers with reflux if there anything else we could investigate, like a food allergy?
