Breech baby hips and crawling

DS3 was breech very briefly at the end of my pregnancy - from 36 to 37 weeks. I don't know exactly how long he was in the breech position for. My medical team were aware of this as I had to have scans and was going to have ECV but he turned.

I thought that all babies who were breech after 36 weeks would get a scan on their hips after birth but I don't think he ever got one. I didn't think anything of it. But now he's 8 months old he's struggling to crawl and seems to have issues holding his legs in the correct position, it's like the back half of his body just flops down. I know it's early for crawling and I'm not worried about that anyway. It was just that in particular that I noticed as being different from when my other children learned to crawl. I also notice that he can get his legs right up to his head, exactly like a breech baby position. I can't remember if that's normal at this age.

His next check up will be when he is 10m old so I'll probably mention it then, I just wondered whether anyone else had a similar experience.

I really can’t remember what’s normal at that age but he should have had an outpatient scan within a few weeks of birth. So if you’re worried combined with the fact the scan was missed I’d talk to your gp now.

He will need an X-ray, not a scan, now

I'm not in UK and he had some kind of ultrasound at the paediatrician at a week or so old, but TBH he was born with a slight deformation to his penis and I think they were looking at that/checking it didn't affect his kidneys and bladder and forgot all about him being breech!

Ok, I'll ask them. I'm not really worried about it, just thought the crawling behaviour was odd.
