Does anyone know if it is safe for DS to be vaccinated when he has recently been exposed to CP?
This was 6 days ago and two days later, the child we were with came up in spots and now has a pretty nasty case of CP.
I'd like to book it now but unsure of whether that's okay, considering DS could be incubating the infection at the moment. If he has already caught it, could the vaccine make it worse?
Not much info online, except you can potentially prevent an outbreak if it's within 5 days of contact, which we're not.
