DD 16 months tummy bug

My DD starred being sick with a tummy bug on Weds night and then for the past 2 days has diarrhoea.
(Sorry to be graphic!) but her poo was yellow water for 2 days, she was still drinking fine but hardly eating. 😫

I always worry about her not eating enough - she's fussy enough as it is with mealtimes....

Today her poo has been solid but has been a grey slate colour....is this normal after a bug?

I also caught the tummy bug too, so know it's worked it's way through our house.

She's just nibbling at small bits but hardly eating anything now for 3 days....should I phone my GP to see if they can give her anything to help, but she's ok in herself?

We have just had this in our house. We took her to the GP who wasn't worried about her eating as long as she was drinking. He said they can go a long time without food. It took about 7 days before she started eating again and we just gave her whatever she wanted whenever she wanted when she did want food.

Hope she feels better soon xx

Yep, totally normal. I called the GP on Friday as DD (17 months) had white poo after a tummy bug. It's because they're not absorbing the food properly. Can last up to 2 weeks & as long as the child is otherwise well (not lethargic etc), no cause for concern
