DD11 Would you go to GP

DD11 has persistent cold sores that take ages to heal and then spring up again quickly. She has been ill on and off for a few months. Beyond Covid, nothing that keeps her off school for long but just a low level of being run down. She’s growing a lot, do you think there is any point in going to GP to get bloods done. Her inability to kick the cold sores is worrying me

I have suffered from cold sores all my life. They are stress related for me so, during secondary school, they were a regular part of my world.

However, I would not have hesitated to take my DC to the GP if they'd suffered like me. Cold sores made my teenage life miserable ☹️

Yes I would take her to the GP. I suffered many ugly, hurtful cold sores as a teenager due to my hormones. They pretty much appeared every month when I was due on. Hopefully the doctor will be able to help and offer a blood test X

Thanks. I am worried about her inability to shake the cold sores so I will ask for some bloods to be done

I've made an appointment for the very same thing. It's driving me crazy!
