Hello, sorry this may be long but I'm worried and hoping someone may be able to give advice. My dd is 11 and for the last 4 years has been hospitalized for utis 14 times. She has stomach pain, fevers of 40c and very unwell but no stinging when weeing or urgency to go.
For the last 5 months she's has been having stomach pains daily around the belly button and just underneath and is sick 4-6 times a week. We have been back and forth to the doctors who finally rereferred us to pediatrics. We were seen last week and urine sample, bloods and stomach ultrasounds have been arranged. They also gave a 14 day prescription of omeprazole but she is still having the same symptoms.
Her last uti was 2 weeks ago and she had a 5 day course of antibiotics but when we had our hospital visit last week her urine sample was still showing blood and protein in it.
Could this just be utis or could there be something more going on? Has anyone else been through this would their child? I'm just really looking for advice while waiting for all the hospital tests to be done.
