Hi, we ended up in a & e last night after ds who is 4 penis started looking really red and swollen on one side (not the tip) the dr there said it was balanitis and gave us some cream which we picked up this morning- I was wondering if anyone has any experience of how long the cream will take to start working as it looks like it has swollen slightly more than before I put the cream on. He doesn’t have a temp and is a bit out of sorts and was wondering if it doesn’t start doing down at what point should we see the gp - tia

My son had this, the cream does work well. It didn’t take long.

Thank you p, we have put it in a couple of times today but it seems to be getting even more red and he is complaining that it is sore - I am hoping that it will calm down overnight

It’s a shame for them isn’t it mine would wince in pain with it. Also used to make him urinate very frequently.
