My daughter is snoring while she's awake.

My 10 year old DD I've noticed is making snoring/heavy breathing type noises while she's awake. She's just had a bad cold and is still quite congested. I only head it while she's sat quietly and it's actually quite noticeable in this time - quite loud and definitely some snoring type noises while wide awake.

Her dad (my ex) was and would assume still is the same. Terrible snoring when asleep but had the same heavy breathing while awake.

My son had his tonsils and adenoids out when he was younger aswell as grommets put in.

Should I take her to the go for this? She does snore loudly when asleep and it's making her quite self conscious with things like sleepovers as a couple of her friends have commented on it.

I'm more concerned about what her breathing is like when she's awake.

DS used to do thus(although at a lot younger age) and it was because his adenoids were too big so definitely worth a GP visit

Thank you, I will. It won't surprise me if she needs them out seen as her brother did and her dad also has the same issue.

I thought it may be because she's just getting over a cold but she really is quite loud!

Thanks for you reply
