Hand foot and mouth

If your DC has had it how quickly did spots appear?
Youngest DC has been unwell for a few weeks with a cold but it seemed to flare up the last day or 2 (temp raised a bit overnight and generally more unwell looking, said she felt sick and didn’t want to eat last night and this morning) she has a small ulcer/spot on side of her tongue that I’ve noticed today.
There has been a case of HF&M in her class.
Wondering if it’s an ulcer as she’s been unwell and is a bit rundown or if more spots are likely to appear later on

My DD was off colour for about 5 days before spots came out but she only had 2 on her face and a handful on her feet/hands. They did all come out pretty quick though, definitely within 2 days
