Thread worms?

Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone has experience with thread worms. The last 2 days I’ve noticed my son has little white bits in his pants and around his bumhole, they looks like fluff/elastic fluff but I can’t see that they’re worms. Are these the eggs? He’s not itching at all, so don’t know for sure that that’s what they are.

The eggs can't really be seen as they are tiny. What sort of underwear is he wearing? Is it shedding when he gets sweaty?

I have loads of experience with these (a DD with SEN who used to constantly put her fingers and other objects in her mouth). I could always clearly see the worms wriggling around when I checked her bum though-so gross. If you get him to lie down, legs in the air in the evening, you might be able to see inside rather than just on the outside. Alternatively, if he does a poo, you can sometimes see the worms wriggling around in that-easier if you still have a potty around instead of the toilet.

@dementedpixie thank you for replying. They’re new pants so I wonder if it is just a bit of fluff from those.

@Retrievemysanity thank you, I will try that later just to be sure.
