My daughter (7) has been suffering from epilepsy since she was 2 years old. She was placed on medication and was seizure free for a few years. Her consultant suggested taking her off medication but after a few weeks she starting having seizures again. She was placed back on medication and has been seizure free for 3+ years. The consultant wants to try again to take her of medication but i am racked with worry that the seizures will start again. She is older, in school and i am worried for her.
I havent asked him but i am tempted to ask him if it would be ok for her to continue taking the medication at the dose she is on.
