Nappy rash

Hi all,

DD (14 months) has never really had issues with nappy rash but has had 2 instances since she started at nursery. She has eczema also and quite sensitive skin - the first instance I felt as though the wipes they used may have been aggravating it as it would seem to get better from Thursday - Sunday (at home) but then get worse again once at nursery.

I gave the nursery some of the wipes we use at home to see if it would help, which it did and with sudocreme things improved and went back to normal.

She's now got a second bout of nappy rash but it's confined to her vulva and area just before her actual bum/crack. It's looking quite bumpy and sore - have been putting sudocreme on it and nursery have been changing her more frequently and still using the wipes I give them.

Today when I was changing her for bed I noted that because of where it is, even though I put quite a thick layer of sudocreme on, by the time the nappy was on, it had basically all rubbed off which I think is part of the issue. As she's in nursery mon-thurs it's difficult to do more nappy free time etc.

Any tips on what to do or other creams to use? Will phone GP tomorrow to see if I can get something prescribed.
