Red rash on hand? Cellulitis?

DD1 (5) has been complaining of a sore hand after school. She is not prone to allergic reactions. Her hand looks red and hot to the touch. She has just recovered from chicken pox (around a week ago).

Obviously I consulted doctor Google who has suggested cellulitis so obviously I'm now panicking. Can anyone give any advice? I'll attach a pic.

Should I just assume a normal allergic reaction or panic and phone out of ours?

I've had cellulitis a few times and it does look like that.

No need to panic - antibiotics will sort it but you do need to get them today.

Draw a ring around the edge and note the time so the walk in staff (or wherever you can get to) can chexk its progression

It looks like cellulitis to me.
Draw a line around the redness to see if it's spreading.
I would definitely seek some medical advice.

@imhereforthecake thank you. Hoping it's not cellulitis. She's had covid, tonsillitis and chicken pox in the last 2 months poor love.

Do you have a minor injuries/ailments walk in nearby? If so might be quicker than ooh phone line. I’ve been’lucky’ enough to have cellulitis about five times now (apparently more likely to get it each time you have it iyswim). Best to get antibiotics tonight if it is cellulitis as it can get nasty.

It does look similar yes. Definitely draw round it as a pp said as you don't want it spreading. Hope she's OK.

Back from Ooh, whilst there, she admitted she'd been painting her hand with pva glue and peeling it off.
